Lists and tags

Tags to label your customers and lists to group them for campaigns and flows.

When to use each one

  • Tags: to mark a trait, such as “VIP customer” or “Interested in annual plan”. A customer can have several.
  • Lists: to group people who receive something, like a newsletter. Each list keeps track of who is subscribed and who unsubscribed.

Note

Customer tags are not the same as conversation tags. Conversation tags are in Conversations → Tags.

Create a tag

  1. Open Tags

In the sidebar, open Customers → Tags and click “New Tag”.

  2. Give it a name and color

Add a description if you want the team to know when to use it. Click “Create Tag”.

Tag customers

  • From the tag: open its customers, search for the customer by name, email or phone and click “+ Add”.
  • From the customer profile: under Tags, use the manage option.
  • Automatically: with a lead form or with the tag action in CRM automations.

Create a list and add customers

  1. Click “New List”

    It's in Customers → Lists.

  2. Set it up

Give it a name, color and description. If you have a page where subscribers choose what they receive, enter its address as the preferences URL. Click “Create List”.

  3. Add subscribers

Open the list, search for the customer and click “+ Add”. To remove someone, unsubscribe them.

Note

Lists also fill up on their own: each subscriber shows their source (manual, flow, import, API or form sign-up).

Tip

Both screens have “Export CSV”: download the customers with a tag or the subscribers of a list whenever you need them outside Recaudo.
