Agents and payments

Decide what your AI agents and connected apps, like Claude or ChatGPT, can do with money, and what needs someone on your team to approve it.

Who it applies to

Recaudo AI agents that handle WhatsApp, Messenger, web chat and calls, and the apps someone on your team connected to Recaudo. Your API keys (your ERP, your system) have no limit unless you set one.

Setting the limits

  1. Open the page

Go to Settings → Agents and payments.
  2. Choose what they can do

For each type of agent, tick the allowed operations: request a payment, charge a card, refund, forgive late fees or record a received payment.
  3. Set the amounts

In Ask for approval above enter the per-operation amount, and in Daily maximum without approval the daily total. Leave it empty for no limit.
  4. Save

Changes apply from the next operation.

If you change nothing, an operation above $5,000, or one that takes the day past $50,000, waits for your approval. Links for a customer's actual balance do not count, because Recaudo computes the amount, not the agent.

Approve or reject

When an agent asks for something above its limit you get a notification and the operation appears under To approve. When you approve, Recaudo carries it out exactly as the agent asked; if it came from a conversation, a note is left for the rep. Anything nobody handles within 48 hours expires.

Below, under What agents have done, you see every operation: the ones that went through on their own, the ones you approved and the ones that were denied.

Note

Only a person with the admin role can approve, and only on the web. An agent cannot approve itself.
